Nelson Alers Kyoshi- Dojo Cho

 Sensei Nelson was born in Puerto Rico. He served in USA Army, and received honorable discharge in 1984. Sensei is a life member of  The American Legion Post no. 0945 and the Disabled American Veterans Philadelphia Chapter # 14. 


He studied in the Inter- American University of Puerto Rico and was inducted to the Hall of Fame of  the North America Federation Of Martial Arts in 2006 and the Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Honor in 2012.


 Mr. Alers has won several major competitions in various parts of United States and the Caribbean. Sensei Nelson Alers is the president of the USA Traditional Karate Federation affiliated to the World Karate Confederation (WKC).


 He is a member and coach of the USA National Karate-Do Federation. Sensei Alers has been selected to help all the students of the GTSS achieve the highest instructions in the Delaware valley.


 Sensei Alers holds the rank of Schichi dan (7th Degree black belt) in Shotokan Karate-do and the instructor title of Kyoshi (Knowledgeable person) but he also has ranks in kendo, judo and iaido. (the use of the samurai swords). 


He is currently the number one competitor in the NSKA, WKUHOF for the year 2006, 2007 and 2008.
